Paddlers and volunteers aged 18-26 are eligible to apply for scholarships thanks to the Waka Ama New Zealand (Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa) partnership with Outward Bound.

Welcome to Hoe Tonga Secondary School Waka ama Sprint Champs 2013 supported by Hoe Tonga Pacifica Waka ama Association and College Sport Wellington.

- Event: Saturday 9 March (postponment date: Sunday 10 March 2013)
- Time: Racing starts at 9am (approx finish at 4pm)
- Teams to be onsite 7.30-7.45am
- W1 must be provided by Paddler
- BYO shelter, lifejackets & paddles
- Stalls, BBQ, cold drinks are available on site.

Coaching opportunity
Coaches wanted for Waka Ama National Secondary teams for Te Kura Maori o Porirua, Porirua. Please register your expression of interest by Thursday the 7th of February. Coaching fees and training times will be confirmed with the successful applicant. We encourage EVERYONE who has an interest in coaching to apply.
