What an AWESOME day of W6 racing today e te whānau. Blessed with such beautiful weather. Thank you Wairarapa Waka Ama Club. Thank you so much for all the volunteers who helped and Te Wānanga o Aotearoa for all the resources.
In terms of tomorrow’s W1 races. Please read the IMPORTANT PĀNUI below
– You MUST supply your own number holder – You MUST bring your own weights if you know your waka is UNDER 14kgs. Also weights MUST be taped down in the waka. Hoe Tonga won’t have any weights available. If you place in your race, your waka could be randomly checked to make sure your weight is still in it. – Our printer is not functioning so you will need to print off your own waiver form and bring it with you tomorrow. (I have emailed your clubs the waiver forms, but here they are as well)
There have been quite a few changes to the previous Lane Draw and Race Schedule so please take the time to look over the changes and familiarise your teams with them.
Once again thank you all for your patience and allowing us to provide the best Regional Sprint Champs we can. We will grow and become better and stronger from it.
Those of the past, those of the future and those that gather today, tēnei te mihi atu
Not long to go for our next race. Attached is the Pānui and the waiver form. Be good to get the waivers done before you get to the race venue to save time and make sure to read the pānui properly. Click the words to open the document
Looking forward to an awesome race this weekend. Could be a bit wet this weekend so reminder to have the appropriate attire/gear. Love a race in those conditions. 🙂
Get ready for this year’s Hoe Tonga Paddler Series 2023, designed to attract new paddlers to our sport, and to enable paddlers and teams to race during the winter season. The Series is overseen by Hoe Tonga, but each individual race is hosted and organised by member clubs or event organisers.
Please note that race details are subject to change. Please keep an eye on updates regarding any of the races.
