Stolen White Renegade Sea Runner from Wellington

Could you please keep your eyes peeled for a rough looking W-1 that was stolen at Cancer Society in Wellington over the long weekend. The waka is very old and has had lots of work over the years.   It is white (hand painted over original purple) with a pink cockpit border and blue inside.  Has a newish surf-rigger ama and a storage hatch on the tail that was taped down with duct tape  The waka was not mine but is owned by the Hapeta whanau used by Hawaikinui many years ago

For any information please contact Steve on 027 5057712

“Black Pearl” for sale (has been sold!!)

My black OC1, made by Southern Outrigger, is for sale.

It’s a fibreglass ‘Sprinter’ model and comes with a special metallic-black paintjob (no gelcoat, same paint as is used for cars). Its about 5 years old, its in good condition (for most of the time it has been stored inside) and it has been looked after. It has no cracks or leaks, and it also has not needed any repairs (structural or otherwise).

It holds an excellent line and is very good for sprinting.

It comes with a custom-made high quality cover (in black also, not shown on photos below) for both the hull and the ama. It also comes with a rudder that can be installed as an option.

$2,500 (or nearest offer). If interested please contact Jörn Scherzer on 021-1250997, or joern.scherzer@gmail.com. I’m coming up to Nationals 2013, so can bring it with me.

Entry Level Coaching Development Opportunity

The courses offer a great opportunity for beginner coaches and/or people who are considering getting into coaching to learn about the fundamentals of coaching from some  of Wellingtons most experienced  and inspirational coach educators. Sport Wellington has contracted four sports to deliver these course based on their expertise and coaching qualifications, and resources developed by their National Sporting Organisations. This is the “quality assurance” that we can guarantee to all attendees that they are receiving best practice coaching advice.

The course is practical and interactive and focuses on the generic aspects of coaching i.e the coaching process, understanding the athlete, planning etc.

At the completion of the course all attendees receive a coaching guide booklet and a certificate acknowledging their achievement.
