Lost ‘Teva Hoe’ Kialoa hybrid paddle at Onepoto

Hi there

One of Team Makaira’s paddles has gone missing. It appears it was left at Onepoto at some stage during the last two weeks (end of May, early June). Unfortunately, this was not noticed until a week after it happened.

The paddle is a Kialoa, it is Kialoa’s new design, the ‘Teva Hoe’, with a very large and long blade, its a hybrid, i.e. carbon blade and wooden shaft. It has a slight double bend. It is one of our Team blades. It may (or may) not have a sticker on it (some of our team blades do, some don’t).

If found, please contact Matt Archer on 027-485 55 20.

Many thanks

Thanks to all the paddlers that participated in the second race of the Welly Winter Series 2012 on what was a blustery day on Porirua Harbour. Great to see the standup paddlers out there on the water – look forward to seeing you guys at the next race! A special thanks to those paddlers that generously gave koha to support our PCKC paddlers who have been selected to represent NZ in Canada in August at the World Waka Ama Sprint Championships. Your warm support is greatly appreciated.

The next race in the series will be held on Sunday 24 June here in Porirua at  Onepoto again. Registrations will open at 9.15am with a race start at 10.00am. Hope to see you all there!
