Porirua Water Sports Open Day on 17 November 2012

In November 2011, the first Porirua Water Sports Open Day was held at Porirua Harbour with huge success.  Last year, kids (and the ‘older kids’) had the opportunity to try a variety of water sports, including waka ama.
Porirua City is organising the same event again this year. This is a great opportunity to attract new club members, and build the profile of your club in the community
This year’s event will happen on Saturday 17 November from 9.00am – 1.00pm.   Please note your diaries and that of your families, friends and networks.
Please tell your family, friends, neighbours about this great event.
If you need further information, please contact Faalogo Fai, at PCC Sports Development Office, DDI: 04 237 3833; MOB: 027 286 1489.

Welly Paddlers Race 6, 26 August, at Mana (Ngati Toa Domain), meet 9.15am

Considering the likely Northerly conditions, we may start the race at the channel, and then run towards Onepoto, turn around one of the buoys at the Onepoto Jetty, and then return to Mana. SUPs would do the course once (5km), other paddling craft would do the course twice (10km).

This is the penultimate race of the series, so in order to increase your chances of a great spot prize, please come and join us. Jörn will be at the venue from about 9.15am, the race start is scheduled for 10am.
