Race schedule & lane draw for W6 Series II on 13 December available

The Regional W6 Series II will now run on Sunday, 13 December, the weather outlook is not great but in Northerly conditions it should be workable.

  • 7.40am – Volunteer and officials briefing at the registration / information caravan
  • 8.00am – Sign-in commences

The race format will involve heats and finals . Progression to finals will be based only on times posted in the heats.

Please read the race information package so that you are aware of all relevant information, see relevant W6 (II) event notice on this website.

Please note that due to a large amount of entries, all those teams that want to race in a second division cannot be accomodated (due to a limited number of lanes and W6 available). For instance, a team wanting to race in J16 and J19 will only be allowed to race in J16. We apologise but unless this is done we will be racing until late at night. Moreover, some races have been combined (e.g. Senior Master Women are racing in Masters) to cut down on the number of individual races. Again, this is due to the limited number of lanes and W6.

Hoe Tonga Strategic Plan adopted

The Hoe Tonga region has just adopted its strategic plan (2009-2014). Please click here to access a copy. The adoption of this plan follows extensive consultation since late 2008.

Hoe Tonga’s strategic plan sets out the key direction for the organisation, its vision, mission, values and key strategic initiatives to further develop Waka Ama in the region.

Hoe Tonga is looking for people with a variety of skills that may want to contribute to the achievement of the various strategic initiatives and goals.

This could include project managing the strategic initiatives. If you would like to be involved, please contact any of the executive officers. Don’t be shy, this may also be a great way of further developing your professional and personal skills (e.g. project management, planning, etc. ).
